Share a story to help
To raise awareness, the Elkhart County Suicide Prevention Coalition regularly publishes articles to inform, inspire and offer hope to those considering death by suicide, family members affected by a past event, and community members concerned about the issue.

You can get involved, too. Please consider writing a letter to the editor of The Elkhart Truth, the Goshen News, the South Bend Tribune or any other periodical to share your thoughts and encourage others to become involved.

Here are some of the coalition's recent writings:

"Be more aware of those around us," Jim Starkey, July 30, 2013

"Learn how to give mental health first aid," Jim Starkey, Feb. 4, 2012

"Friendly greeting can make all the difference," Cathy Blum, Dec. 25, 2011
